ANNOUNCEMENTS

Congratulations to Michael L. Foran, Kevin J. Glenn, Douglas J. Palandech, and Matthew S. Ponzi on receiving the 2008 Super Lawyers designation, as awarded by Law & Politics.  This honor is given to only 5% of the total attorneys in each state, based on nomination, evaluation of professional achievements, and selection by a panel of attorneys in the applicable practice area.

Congratulations to George M. Ferreti, Michael M. McColl, and George D. Pilja on receiving the 2008 Rising Stars designation, as awarded by Law & Politics for outstanding young lawyers.   This honor is given to only 2.5% of the total attorneys in each state, based on nomination and evaluation of professional achievements.

James B. Glennon and George D. Pilja recently defeated an appeal to the Appellate Court for the Fourth District of Illinois of a denial of a Motion to Stay Arbitration, in a matter of first impression in the State of Illinois.  Jim and George successfully argued that a subrogated insurer has standing to compel a party to an agreement with its insured to arbitrate a dispute pursuant to an arbitration clause contained in the agreement, even though the insurer was not itself a party to the agreement.

FGPP welcomes George C. Ellison as Of Counsel.

Congratulations to the newly elected Partners:  Kevin J. Glenn and George D. Pilja.
